• Brief Company History of Dunlop
John Dunlop, a Scottish Veterinarian, started Dunlop in 1889. It is now owned 75% by Goodyear Tire Company and 25% by Sumitomo Rubber Industries. Dunlop is heavily known for its racing tires and was the sole supplier to the British Touring Car Championship from 2003-2006 and has been the sole supplier to the V8 Supercars Championship since 2002. Dunlop also supplies tires to the American Le Mans Series and the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters.

Dunlop tires are manufactured all over the world including countries like China, Slovenia and Poland. One of the US locations is in Buffalo, NY.
